Vehicles in German City Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Officers reported they were notified by a man who noticed a vehicle in Hanau covered with reddish liquid

Roughly fifty automobiles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Law enforcement report they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a individual noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored fluid.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Officers then found multiple other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement say early analysis suggest the fluid was likely blood from a person.

"Currently there is no lead as to where it came from; investigators are presently not aware of any harm in connection with the event," they commented.

Local authorities stated they were working "to solve the incident" and have asked to the community for details.

A senior official stated the incident rendered him speechless and needed to be resolved promptly.

"This event strikes at the core of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right attack five years ago," he wrote on social media, mentioning the death of nine people by a shooter focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in February 2020.
